Disconnect is developed and operated by Bytehood Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.


What data we collect

Account data

When you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email address (Apple only shares these on the first sign-in). We store your display name in our database to identify you to your buddy and in notifications. Your Apple ID is used to authenticate you — we never see your Apple ID password.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as described below.


Third parties

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for authentication, database storage, and push notifications. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. Data is processed in accordance with Google's privacy policy.

RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage Pro subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymised user ID and purchase history to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to this data.

Apple

Purchases are processed by Apple via the App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs payment data — we never see your payment details.


Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete all data associated with your account within 30 days, including your user record, buddy relationships, and unlock request history.

Children

Disconnect is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at support@bytehood.com and we will delete it.


Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
